Chef Carrie Baird has carved out her culinary legacy over the past two decades, leading some of Denver’s most acclaimed kitchens with passion, precision, and unmistakable flair. Known for her creative spin on comfort food, Baird brings a fresh approach to classic dishes merging locally sourced ingredients with vibrant, health-conscious flavors that feel both familiar and entirely new.
A beloved fan favorite on Bravo’s Top Chef Season 15, Baird cooked her way to the top four with authenticity and heart. She went on to defeat Bobby Flay himself on Food Network’s “Beat Bobby Flay” in 2019, winning with her now-iconic Pork Green Chili Huevos Rancheros. She later returned to Top Chef as an All-Star judge for Season 18, lending her sharp palate and seasoned perspective across eight episodes.
Culinary Career
As Executive Chef of Bar Dough, Baird earned widespread acclaim which includes a James Beard Award semi-finalist nod for Best Chef: Mountain in 2019 and helped land the restaurant on multiple “Best of Denver” lists.
Today, she serves as Culinary Director for The Culinary Creative Group’s Americana division, guiding the vision of four Tap & Burger locations, and shines as Chef and Partner at the ever-popular Fox and The Hen. With an adventurous spirit and a deep love for hospitality, Baird continues to redefine the Denver dining scene one soulful plate at a time.
