A First Taste of ‘Chef’n It’: Media Watch Party Recap

On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, we had the joy of gathering with some of Colorado’s most talented chefs, restaurateurs, writers, editors, promoters, and friends of the culinary community to celebrate the upcoming launch of Chef’n It, a brand-new monthly cooking series produced by Behind the Apron Media. We could not be more grateful to everyone who joined us to mark this milestone moment!

A Sneak Peek of Season One

Giving our guests a first taste of what’s in store, the day featured a screening of the premiere episode and bites from a few of our season one chefs: Lon Symensma, Cliff Blauvelt, Carrie Baird, and Chris Royster. Each dish offered a glimpse into the creativity and flavor that viewers can expect when Chef’n It officially launches. 

And of course, no celebration is complete without a toast. Thank you to Dave Bergen and Joyride Brewing for providing the perfect brews to pair with the featured flavors!

What is Chef’n It?

Chef’n It is more than a cooking show, it’s an invitation to experience the passion, creativity, and soul behind some of Colorado’s most beloved kitchens. Hosted by Tarah Runco, this monthly crave-worthy series spotlights some of the best local chefs as they bring a taste of their restaurant’s cuisine straight to your home kitchen, transforming signature dishes into accessible masterpieces.

Episode One: Coming September 10th

We’re kicking things off with a big debut! The pilot episode of Chef’n It will feature Co-owner and Executive Chef Chris Royster of Flagstaff House — a CHOPPED Champion and Zagat 30 Under 30 honoree. In this episode, viewers will not only learn how to recreate signature flavors at home, but also gain insight into his philosophy, personality, and passion for food.
